First off, a classic: Homestyle Chocolate Chip Cookies from Vive le Vegan! For Alto Sax Snack Time tomorrow.
THEN.. my friends and I decided to make the Coconut-Lime Cookies from VLV, but with orange instead. Somewhere in the switch we did SOMETHING wrong.. and they ended up with a cupcake-like lightness and texture. We have named them..: Orange Snow-Blossom Nummy-Cakes!
I call it a success.

You are seriously killing me with all this baked goodness. Wow.
I wonder what you did "wrong" too, but they sure look good. They look light and fancy.
Whatever they are, they look good. I once tried to replace some ingredients in a tried and true recipe and came up with something completely other too...it totally rocked!
Thanks guys!
Haha I think I'm killing myself with the baked goods too. It's all I can do to actually get them to practice for the section with eating them all first.
And you know what I realized... the nummy-cakes are kind of like JUST the top of a cupcake, which is obviously the best part!
fortunate mistake!
Hi,
This is my first time coming across your blog, and I'm loving all the tempting photos. I'll be doing some baking soon (to send cookies for my mom's b-day) and was thinking of making those Vive coconut-lime ones. I like your "mistake" ones though... I wonder if that mistake can be replicated?..
Hey Bazu - thanks for stopping by! The only thing that I remember doing wrong with those cookies is I used maybe 3 1/2 tbsp of orange juice when it says to use 2-2 1/2. I can't imagine that that's what did it, but who knows!
i wish i make good mistakes too! but usually i dont, i make disaster.
thanks for share recipes too!
