Dinners, Shindig

So on Wednesday I made some chicken-style seitan from this recipe. I didn't take a picture after it baked in the marinade, but this is before. I'm going to use it in something later this week.

For dinner on Wednesday I made baked tempeh that I had poached and then marinated. There are also garlic mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables. Chris didn't like the tempeh so much. Oh yeah and I tried to make a gravy out of the lefotver marinade. It worked out pretty well!
Then I made tiramisu for my friend's birthday. No, it's not vegan. She loves tiramisu.. I wanted it to be right! I think it turned out pretty good looking! I've never made tiramisu before, but everybody seemed to like it OK.The party was good :-D

When I saw the last picture, I thought for a moment that you had a mohawk!

I'm interested to hear how your seitan turned out.

Veganizing tiramasu must be possible...I'll have to get on that.

The seitan looks great as done that dinner for your brother and everyone.

The bake sale stuff...no vegan bake sales here. I'd definitely have bought pb cookies and a cinnamon roll.

oooh, that baked tempeh & vegetables dinner you made for your family looks divine - hopefully Chris will come around to liking tempeh ;0)

what a lovely tiramisu for your friend's birthday! you should definitely try veganizing it in the future, as a "baking experiment."

I saw your comment on my blog: the chickpeas are slightly crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside - they're fabulous! highly recommended :0)

As for slicing the pumpkin bread while still in the pan: the trick is to use a VERY sharp knife. Works every time!

I wish I had tiramisu. It's so good. Someone needs to make an awesome vegan version of it so I can have it!

Veganizing tiramisu would be tricky - but it sure looks fabulous!
